Simple words from a humble and fabulously talented young man who has made it into the coveted AI Top 10. This week both style and performance industry giants Tommy Hillfiger and Sean Combs tried to mold the Philip, but he was having none of that.

Powerful stuff when you think about it.

At a time when the world is judging him, Philip steadfastly sticks to who he knows he is. He’s told by older, wiser professionals he won’t achieve his dreams without making change. Yet, he doesn’t care. He wants to win, but not that bad.

This young man has perspective.

When working towards a dream, dreamers are often encouraged to reign in their ideas. To temper their hopes and bring their aspirations into reality. When a dreamer resolutely denies the advice of people who’ve been there and done, they are taking a huge risk. Sometimes these advisers are the very rule makers that will determine whether or not the dream is ever fulfilled. That’s a tough spot to be in.

But it’s good to know that if you find yourself in this situation you can do as Phil Phillips did. Hold fast to who you know you are and politely declare you will not change. It may take a little more time and you may have to take a round about path, but you’ll get there. And you will maintain your sense of self, your pride and your joy. Valuable things that never should be relinquished.

I’m starting to hate facebook now. First, it has become so boring and second people react so much on every post you make. I mean what’s the point in asking what’s on your mind when people just react either negatively or positively? Can’t they just give a fvck about it? I mean mind your own fvcking business please. Don’t we all have freedom of speech?
